Two Services FAQ
Two Services FAQ
What times will our two Sunday services be?
Starting Sunday, September 28th, we plan to have services at 9:30am and 11:30am.
Which service will have an education program?
Our education program and nursery will be offered during our 9:30am service. We will have a cry room (ages 0-1) for both services and hope to offer childcare in the future for 11:30am service.
Which service should I attend?
You can attend either service, but we will only be offering education during first service. We would encourage those who are flexible to please attend our second service.
Will there be any differences between the two services (e.g. worship style)?
Our church values a spirit of unity in everything we do, so we plan to keep both worship services the same. However, post-worship activities may look different.
Will we still be offering courses and membership classes? If so, when?
We plan to offer courses and membership classes on Sundays at 9:30am but may look to also offer them at 11:30am in the future. We encourage anyone attending courses or membership classes to join our 11:30am service during those particular weeks.
If I’m a parent but want to participate in Sunday courses and membership classes, what should I do with my children?
Parents can drop off their children in education at 9:30am while attending courses and membership class. In those weeks, we hope to offer childcare during second service so parents can also attend worship.
When will welcoming lunch and bridge groups take place?
We plan to have welcoming lunches and bridges group take place after our first service. We encourage anyone planning to participate in welcoming lunch and bridge groups to join our first service.
Are there any other significant changes happening due to two services?
We plan to create a new, dedicated space on campus for our church to fellowship together over snacks and coffee after worship. We will share what this will look like during Sunday announcements.
What will it look like to volunteer on a Sunday (e.g. education, welcoming, etc.)?
We encourage volunteers to “serve one, worship one” i.e. serve at one service and worship at another service. While we practiced this before (i.e. volunteer worship), we hope our volunteers can experience a fuller version of Sunday worship now.
How can I, as a member, support the church as we transition to two services?
We hope our members can help support this transition to two services by a) being on mission with us – invite and welcome people to our church b) please arrive on time for worship c) please consider serving a ministry – we need all the help we can get. And pray.
Is there anything I could be praying for?
Please pray the LORD would activate our church to be on mission. We know change is always uncomfortable, but we genuinely believe our move to two services can serve as an opportunity to engage and grow.
